Description

Brilliant burgundy pink, wide open, amazingly fragrant flowers.

Growing Conditions: I’ve only grown this in full sun, sandy soil with little irrigation.

Flowers: Persephone stands up tall and strong reaching about 3.5 feet. Flowers heavily with multiple flowers per stalk late June into July. Solid colored rich-burgundy flowers have an incredibly rich, perfume.

Leaves: The foliage is glossy and neat, big but not monstrous, making a less than 3′ tall mound.

How To Plant: Full Sun. Normal garden soil with some drainage.

Where To Plant: Full sun to light shade. The breeder of this plant says he knows someone in Cape Cod, Massachusetts growing this cultivar and that it is a cross of C. ‘Ellen Bosanquet’ × C. × powellii ‘Album’. Thanks to Jay Yourch for making this cross.

Our Bulbs: We ship freshly dug bulbs that are about the size of a tennis ball.
