Best small dry shade perennial for  lush, tropical look.  ‘Slow Fade’ has fleshy leaves, slightly longer than the regular species.  It has 8 inch tall white spire of flowers in spring.

Description

Some people call this African Hosta but it’s actually an amazing drought tolerant lily groundcover for the shade!

Growing Conditions: Light to heavy shade.  Dry to moist soil.  Thrives under the edge of shrubs.

Flowers: From April, through October, white flowers – just 8 inches tall but impressively showy – stand up tall.

Leaves: In early March, leaves emerge. Black/burgundy spots on emerald background make this a plant to appreciate up close.

How To Plant: Bulbs can be in the ground but sometimes they choose to grow on top of the ground; even through the winter.

Where To Plant: A tough, reliable ground cover, this plant works anywhere.
