Description
Size: These bulbs make leaves 4-6 inches long that live through summer. The flowers are about the same but open wide giving a huge impact in the garden.
Color: This is our mix of rich pink Habranthus ‘Cherry Pink’ and ‘Jumbo Pink’. Over the years, as the plants seed in and spread you’ll get even more variation.
Culture: Full sun to very light shade. They don’t need irrigation — they’ll flower the most after it rains then hunker down for dry spells. Regular to wet garden soil.
Garden Ideas: In any bed where you’d like a little extra color at the lowest levels, just push dry bulbs down in the soil even among small ground covers and perennials like periwinkle or mums. That way you get two flower seasons in one area.
A small pot of these is easy and quick to plant and makes a cheerful gift that keeps on flowering.
