The biggest, most elegant cycad for Zone 7 and 8. It reaches 12 t0 15 feet tall and can be pruned like a small palm tree. Fast-growing, an April whorl of amazingly soft, felty tentacles that unfurl, then harden to dark green by June, when another new whorl comes.
All fuzzy and sea-foam green then, they turn to emerald green in summer. Single leaves reach, 6 foot long leaves by summer. Overall, the plant reaches 12′ wide.

Compared to regular sago palms, this one starts growing in April with amazingly soft, felty tentacles that unfurl in April. All fuzzy and sea-foam green, then they turn to emerald green, 6-foot-long leaves by summer. Overall, the plant reaches 10′ wide.
