Crinum ‘Ollen’

A mid-century modern classic from 1962, Ollen sports upright narrow laeaves and clusters of fragrant white flowers.

This cross of the native Crinum americanum and Orange River Lily. You can see the American genes in how she holds her flowers open.   Thrives anywhere – dry to wet.

Long lived and tough as nails, I have her growing in an unirrigated bed surrouned by liriope. 

Some discerning plants friends find Ollene extremely elegant and fragrant.
