The biggest milk and wine lily! From a collector in Texas, of course, this found plant has charmed us by flowering tall, with dramatic striped flowers and growing and dividing well.

Description
Growing Conditions: As an incredibly cold-hardy crinum, we have selections of this plant sent from a friend in Texas. She said it’s bigger than all her others and we’ve found that to be true. NOTE: this cultivar may have an existing name, we’re using the found name sent to us for now.
Flowers: Open-faced flowers with bold colors. Slender buds slowly inflate all day. About 4 p.m., they pop open revealing their inner stripes. These flowers are on stalks that grow upwards of 55 inches.
Flowering Season: June in Zone 8. Blooming will start later in colder zones and will begin earlier in warmer zones.
Leaves: Apple-green. Arching leaves with a ‘V’ shape in cross-section. Note that these leaves make a mound that some might consider unruly! Not for a small garden!
How To Plant: Plant to a depth of 10 to 12 inches. Make sure this lily is not sitting in water or a wet-root zone.
Where To Plant: This lily has a sculptural form that looks great out in the middle of the yard, all by itself. Or mix it in with other large tropical-looking perennials.
Our Bulbs: This is a collectors plant. We ship 4-5 inch circ. bulbs, 15 inches long. See pic.
