We’re happy to offer group tours in the summer of 2021.
Group size limit of 10 to 20 people with covid safe protocols.
Arrive at 9:30 for a tour of our specialty nursery, and an introduction to the other aspects of the design business. We’ll walk the fields, hanging out in the shade and learn about our organic, no-till system along the way.
Then we’ll break for lunch– there’s always something, maybe just a little something from the farm.
Enjoy a walk-around history of the 1750’s house and the flowers and heirloom plants of Gloria’s garden. It’s an old school Southern cottage garden with bottle trees, old-fashioned roses, a grave or two and lots of curious plants. Peak into our artfully renovated barn office, our cobb studio, and meet the donkeys.
Spend a few minutes shopping for plants, books, and merchandise. We’ll have special deals and great prices on all sorts of plants that we grow — from our specialty crinum to rare ferns and perennials. And we’re happy to dig fresh any thing from the field that’s caught your eye.
If you’re inclined walk down the red dirt road to Redcliffe State Historical site for a tour of the stunning grounds — with a realistic presentation focused on the enslaved people who planted the experimental landscape and crops. We can put you in touch with the Park Manager if you’d like to schedule a landscape or special tour of Redliffe. Recently the Atlanta Journal listed thier tours as one of the best, most honest looks at Southern history.
Cost $35 per person, non-refundable, payable in advance to the group leader.
We’ll provide contact information for Redcliffe. Tours there range from free to $5.
All events will be held rain or shine except in extreme storms. Dress for the farm! Since we are doing no inside events, we’ll eat on the porches. In the case of severe weather, we’ll reschedule for another day.
