Saw an article in perennials 2008 magazine about you talking about crinum lilies. Can’t believe I found you online. I have crinums given to me at least 20 years ago. I live in se texas and the summer sun is brutal. I feel they do better here in partial shade. Could you give me some pointers ?
Light shade is best in really hot places. Often, in mid – August, we’ll cut all the leaves off, right to the ground. They don’t get all nappy that way, and they come back easily and pretty for fall. We have lots of tips in our booklets called Gardening w Crinum Lilies.
Every one of them – lovely!
And everyone with it’s own special place. But I have to say I do love Bradley for his open faced flowers.
