Bare Root Pecan Trees

My Christmas presents came!   Bare root pecan trees.  I know some of you have read all you can from me about this topic so I’ll just post the picture and give a quick recap.

You order now (or in the fall) and at some point in the winter, the nursery ships to you, in big heavy paper bag mailers, trees bigger than you!   I dug holes 2.5 deep, planted, watered in, wrapped them with deer sleeves (pvc tubes) to keep the donkey from eating them.  In 5 years, I’ll have 20 tall trees and in 10 years, maybe, I’ll have a few nuts.  But somebody, someday, will have truck loads of nuts.  I use Ison’s Nursery in Georgia.
