Crinum ‘Lady Chameleon’

Description

Crinum aficionados love this Lady!  Rich red-pink flowers with darker magenta tips make massive heads of flowers up to 18 inches across.

Everything about this plant is massive — the flower heads, the scapes they stand on can reach wrist-thick, and the wide glossy leaves.

Best in full sun.  This is a stand-alone plant.  Plant it out in the yard and treat it like a shrub!  Mix it into a border with other big but fine-textured perennials like yellow fennel, asparagus, or maiden’s grass.  Under plants with a purple heart to pick up on the purple in the flowers.

Unlike most hybrid crinum this one produces lots of seeds.  So you’ll have seeds to share.  And for history buffs, she’s the parent of some famous crosses like ‘Glory’.

We ship tennis ball size bulbs with living roots and eight or so inches of leaf.
