Huge purple spheres make a vertical accent in the garden just as other bulbs have finished flowering. We’re planting our spring flowering, pink and white Orange River Lily beds with this for a fun display.
These giant allium don’t thrive as a perennial in our climate. Some may come back next year especially if you grow them ‘hard’. That means, plant them somewhere hot and dry and where they can bake in the summer — without irrigation. Or enjoy in a pot.
In the South, you can plant in the ground or in a pot through January.
We ship huge, 6-inch round bulbs. 5 per order.
